A fresh take on a classic

The envelope method, for the way you actually spend.

In the classic envelope method you split your paycheque into envelopes, one for each spending category, and take the cash out when you buy something. It works because of visibility and planning: you see what is there, you see it leave, you see what is left. Turning all of your spending back into cash is nearly impossible now, and it has never been easier to overspend. This brings that same clarity to your digital money.

Track your account balances, plan for interest on a credit card or savings, and see it all in one spot.

Every dollar has a job

Tell it what is coming in, put it in its envelope, and we help make sure your spending comes out of the right one.

Sharing made simple

Split by percent or real dollars with a partner or roommate, and always know where you stand.

Here's how it goes

Five short steps. The first three take about ten minutes, the rest is just keeping the tool up to date with your transactions.

  1. 1

    Set up your accounts

Name each account, tell it what your bank shows today, and set the interest on a credit card or savings account. That is the full view of your money in one spot.

  2. 2

    Give every dollar a job

Tell it how much money you have coming in, then put it in its envelope. Not sure what to put? It reads your past spending and suggests a figure.

  3. 3

    Upload and let it learn

Drop in a screenshot, a PDF statement or a CSV from your bank, label the first set of transactions and any that weren't matched, and it learns what belongs where. We're always watching for duplicates so you never double dip, and you always have the final say if we make a bad guess.

  4. 4

    Plan ahead

Schedule paydays, bills and payments so you know how much you need in your account and can spot tight periods before they happen. We'll even help you spot a subscription you forgot you had.

  5. 5

    Split what you share

Sharing bills with a partner or roommate? Split by percent or real dollar value and keep track of who paid for what. They don't have an account? Use a placeholder and send an invoice when it's time to settle up.

Works wherever you are

Choose the widgets you want on your dashboard, move them and size them however you like. Your information is synced across devices, so it's easy to move from a desktop planning session to recording your transactions on the go.

Your information stays yours

We never record your account information, and we delete all statements, screenshots and CSVs as soon as the transactions are recorded. We don't collect or sell your data either — no ad trackers, no analytics on your spending, nothing.

Free features for life, premium features only if you want them.

No recurring payments, no enshitification — just a budgeting tool I built for myself that was too useful not to share.
